ip 12 polyurethane injection resin concrete crack repair-0

Product Introduction

RUTH IP-12 is a single-component, oil-based hydrophobic polyurethane injection resin. When it contacts water, it reacts and expands to form a closed-cell polyurethane foam. The material is intended to help stop active water ingress, fill accessible voids and seal leakage paths in concrete and underground waterproofing applications. IP-12 forms a semi-flexible closed-cell hydrophobic polyurethane foam, providing a balance between water-stopping stability and limited movement accommodation. Its tested viscosity supports injection through compatible equipment into cracks and leakage paths before reaction. Product selection, catalyst conditions, injection pressure and site sequencing should be confirmed against the structure, water flow and required repair outcome.

Working Principle

IP-12 is injected as a liquid polyurethane injection grout through suitable packers and a compatible single-component pump. Contact with water initiates the reaction, causing the resin to foam and expand within the available crack or void. The cured hydrophobic foam forms a water-resistant barrier within the treated path.
1. Assess - Identify the leak path, crack condition, water flow and accessible voids.
2. Inject - Deliver IP-12 through compatible packers and injection equipment using a site-appropriate sequence.
3. React and seal - Water contact triggers expansion so the hydrophobic PU grout can occupy the available path and support leak sealing or void filling.

Applications
IP-12 is an expanding polyurethane foam grout. Confirm whether the project requires water cut-off, void filling or structural repair; do not treat foam injection as a substitute for structural resin design without engineering review.

Applications

  • Concrete crack repair where water leakage is present
  • Leak sealing in tunnels, basements, retaining structures and other underground concrete
  • Construction-joint and penetration leakage treatment, subject to site assessment
  • Void filling behind or within concrete elements where an expanding resin is appropriate
  • Selected ground stabilization or loose-soil void filling after engineering evaluation

Frequently Asked Questions

  • IP-12 is used for engineering applications such as concrete crack leak sealing, underground waterproofing, void filling and selected ground-stabilization work where a water-reactive expanding hydrophobic polyurethane grout is appropriate.
  • The liquid resin reacts when it contacts water and expands into a hydrophobic polyurethane foam within the available crack or void. Actual results depend on leak geometry, water flow, injection sequence and site conditions.
  • IP-12 is positioned primarily for water cut-off and void-filling functions. Structural crack repair requirements should be reviewed separately by the responsible engineer before material selection.
  • Use a compatible single-component injection pump, suitable packers, hoses and required PPE. Confirm equipment pressure capability and cleaning procedures before work begins.
  • The value is intentionally omitted because results depend strongly on the test specimen and conditions and may mislead product selection. Ask the technical team for the relevant method and project-specific interpretation.
